If we call X the volume of liquid in the vinegar container, and L the volume of the ladle, then after the first step, the volume will be X+L in the vinegar container.
After the next step, it will be back to X since we removed a ladleful of the mixture and X = X + L - L. Since it was X originally, and it is still X at the end, then whatever the quantity of oil in it is, it must obviously be the same as the quantity of vinegar which has been removed from it (to be added to the oil container). The correct answer is the 3rd one.
